Modern biophysical methods, single-molecule biology dazzle BSC

The 4th National Conference on Modern Biophysical Methods and Technologies and the 2023 East Asian Single-Molecule Biological Sciences Symposium concluded in Wenzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on Sept 24, 2023.


The four-day event was jointly hosted by the Academic Committee of Modern Biophysical Technology and Methods and the Monomolecular Biology Academic Subgroup of the Biophysical Society of China (BSC).

Themed "Biophysical Techniques and Cutting-Edge Medicine," the conference focused on cutting-edge technologies in single-molecule biology and the latest advancements in biophysical methods and techniques. It aimed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and international cooperation in the field.

Xu Tao, an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, president of the BSC and executive deputy director of the Guangzhou Lab, expressed his hope in his opening remarks that modern biophysics and single-molecule biology will connect top scientists from around the world and advance the development and applications of core technologies.


Xu added that the academic event will enable researchers to gain new perspectives and promote the development of modern biophysical methods and techniques as well as single-molecule biology.

During the four-day conference, more than 160 domestic and overseas experts and scholars discussed multiple current topicsof concern.
