The 26th Annual Meeting of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), hosted by the CAST and the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region kicks off in early July in Guangxi and Beijing.

Themed "Cultivating new quality productive forces and supporting high-level sci-tech self-reliance and strength", this year's meeting includes six sections: a main forum, thematic forums, parallel forums, Beijing Academic Week, "Innovation China" Guangxi Tour, and online science popularization events, featuring a total of 24 activities.

Liang Chunhua, vice chairwoman of the Guangxi Association for Science and Technology (GAST), said the 26th CAST Annual Meeting will focus on interdisciplinary high-end sci-tech fields and the essence of academic research, gather high-end professionals to stimulate innovation and entrepreneurship potential, cultivate  new quality productive forces to promote deep integration of science, technology and the economy, and create a science popularization platform across multiple channels by integrating online and offline activities.

The meeting aims to unite science and technology workers to consciously integrate their academic pursuits into the cause of building China into a world leader in science and technology, and showcase their new roles and contributions in promoting Chinese modernization. It will also inject sci-tech impetus into the development of new quality productive forces in Guangxi, and add vitality to Guangxi's chapter in China's modernization.
