Established in 2022 by the Frontiers Research Foundation and backed by the International Science Council, the Frontiers Planet Prize recognizes research contributions published in peer-reviewed journals within the last two years. These contributions are instrumental in helping the planet stay within the safe operating space of one or more of the nine planetary boundaries.
In a testament to the Prize's global reach and CAST's commitment to nurturing scientific professionals, the Frontiers Planet Prize has recognized outstanding young Chinese scientists, naming them the National Champion in 2022 and the International Champion in 2023. Among the distinguished honorees is Gu Baojing from Zhejiang University.
