China Engineers Forum in Malaysia spotlights sustainable eco-engineering, tech innovation

The Second China Engineers Forum and the China Engineering Pavilion, centered on sustainable environmental ecological engineering, took place from Sept 18 to 21 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The event, a collaborative effort by the Chinese Society of Engineers and Xiamen University, brought together leading minds in the field.

The forum, held on Sept 19, delved into critical areas such as water environmental management, ecological restoration, air pollution control, environmental and ecological engineering, and green development.


Tan Chee Fai, Honorary Secretary of the 2024/2025 Council of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia, praised the gathering as a significant platform for fostering academic and technological collaboration between the two countries.


The event featured insightful academic reports from seven experts, including Liu Wenqing, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, drawing a crowd of over 150 representatives from Malaysian academic, research, and business sectors.


Concurrently, the China Engineering Pavilion showcased cutting-edge technological advancements in environmental and ecological engineering. The exhibition showcased compact but influential projects designed to meet the needs of the local communities, which intrigued industry professionals.
