Conference pioneers a new era of intelligent technologies

The 2024 Parallel Intelligence Conference, held on Dec 28 in Beijing, brought together top experts, scholars, and industry leaders to explore the latest advancements in parallel intelligence technologies.



When addressing the opening ceremony, Wang Feiyue, Supervisor of the Chinese Society of Automation and researcher of the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, highlighted that this year's event has attracted global pioneers in parallel intelligence technologies. He also emphasized the importance of adhering to core principles such as "Intelligence for Good" and "Parallel Safety" to shape a better future.


The conference featured presentations from eight renowned experts, who shared insights into various applications of parallel intelligence technologies.


Lv Linyuan, a professor from the University of Science and Technology of China, discussed the latest techniques in network information mining, and Kang Mengzhen, a researcher from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, demonstrated innovative applications of parallel intelligence in agriculture.


Miao Qinghai from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences elaborated on the unique value of parallel intelligence in scientific research. Qin Jiahu, from the University of Science and Technology of China, presented recent progress in mobile robotics powered by parallel intelligence technologies.


Tian Bin, co-founder of WAYTOUS, showcased practical achievements in unmanned transportation driven by parallel intelligence in the mining industry. Ying Tang from Rowan University (USA) delved into the role of parallel intelligence in enhancing situational awareness.


Shuai Li from the University of Oulu (Finland) introduced innovative applications of dynamic neural networks in resolving motion redundancy for robotic arms. Hui Yu from the University of Glasgow (UK) explored the use of facial perception in social signal analysis and its future potential.


The conference also included 13 parallel forums and specialized sessions, providing a dynamic platform for in-depth exchanges among participants.


The 2024 Parallel Intelligence Conference was hosted by the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), with support from a wide range of academic and industry organizations.
