A press release showcasing China's agricultural technology achievements in 2024 took place at the National Agricultural Innovation Center in Nanjing, gathering representatives from agricultural research institutions, universities, leading agricultural technology companies, innovation centers, and venture capital firms.

A total of 81 Spark Technology achievements and ten major pioneering agricultural technologies were unveiled at the event.

In 2022, China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs launched an initiative to promote the discovery, evaluation, and cultivation of agricultural Spark Technologies. These innovations, in their early stages, hold the promise of substantially advancing the development of the agricultural sector.

Following a nationwide call for submissions, 25 projects were selected for collaborative advancements from 2022 to 2024, while 56 achievements were added to a dedicated database. Notable examples include a subunit vaccine for pig enteritis, intelligent microbial cultivation technology, and an automatic grafting robot for solanaceous crops including tomatoes, peppers, and eggplants.

The conference also introduced ten major agricultural technologies for 2024. These included soybean seed treatment for pest control, high-speed precision seeding technology for corn and soybeans, and comprehensive regional control measures for wheat stripe rust.

In recent years, the agricultural technology industry has demonstrated substantial growth and positive financial cycles. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has established a venture capital fund to enhance support for agricultural Spark Technologies, helping financial institutions connect with innovative tech companies for early and long-term investments.

The National Agricultural Innovation Center in Nanjing has been actively fostering collaboration among entrepreneurs, scientists, and financiers. It has facilitated over 30 community collaboration and cross-industry projects and established more than 50 partnerships with universities and research institutes across the country.
