On May 30, 2023, grand celebrations for the 7th National Science and Technology Workers Day took place in Beijing under the theme “Igniting Your Spirit.” The prestigious National Award for Excellence in Innovation was also given alongside the festivities.

Emphasizing the importance of active participation in global sci-tech governance with an open mindset, he encouraged them to contribute China’s wisdom on the global stage. He further stressed the need for enhanced openness, trust, and cooperation among the international scientific and technological community to foster a consensus of values.

In recognition of remarkable contributions to frontier technologies, economics, national priorities, public health, and social services, CAST collaborated with three other departments including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security to present the 3rd National Award for Excellence in Innovation. Seven research teams including the Marine Immersed Tunnel Construction Technology Innovation Team were honored with this prestigious award.
