To celebrate the 2023 National Science and Technology Workers Day, on May 30, CAST officially unveiled “Voice of CAST” (VOC), a global communication platform catering to overseas scientific entities and science and technology workers.

VOC operates based on the principles of innovation, coordination, green development, openness, and mutual benefits. Its primary purpose is to share information about China's scientific and technological community with the rest of the world. The platform aims to foster trust and collaboration within the international scientific community, promote cultural exchange and mutual learning, and contribute to the building of a global community of shared future.

The platform was developed to harness technology for the common good and people's wellbeing. Currently, it offers dedicated sections for academic events, journal publications, academic research, science popularization, and academic conferences, providing updates on the latest advancements within China's scientific and technological community. Furthermore, a special channel was launched to commemorate the 2023 National Science and Technology Workers Day with historical insights and updates on various celebrations.

Today, all content on the platform is available in English. However, future plans include incorporating multilingual translation, messaging, consulting services, and newsletter subscriptions. These additions will enhance the platform's capabilities and better serve overseas science organizations and global science workers.
