Earth and Planetary Physics (EPP), jointly sponsored by the Chinese Geophysical Society (CGS), the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Science Press (China Science Publishing＆Media Ltd.), was launched in November 2017. It is a peer-reviewed open-access journal and publishes bimonthly in English. EPP has been indexed in major scientific databases, including the ESCI (EmergingSources Citation Index), EI, Scopus, and the CSCD (Chinese Science Citation Database).

EPP covers a slew of areas in Earth and planetary sciences, including solid-earth geophysics, atmospheric physics, space physics, and planetary sciences. Various forms of submission are available, including original research articles, reviews, technical reports, comments, replies, editorials, perspectives, and letters.
