Genomics, Proteomics, and Bioinformatics (GPB) is an official journal of the Beijing Institute of Genomics, the China National Center for Bioinformation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Genetics Society of China. GPB is aimed at disseminating novel frontiers in the field of omics and bioinformatics, publishing high-quality discoveries in a timely manner, and promoting open access and online publication via Article-in-Press for efficiency.

GPB has been indexed/abstracted by PubMed/MEDLINE, PubMed Central, Scopus, BIOSIS Previews, Chemical Abstracts, and the CSCD, among others.

GPB is interested in submissions across all areas of life science, biology, and biomedicine, with a focus on large data acquisition, analysis, and curation. Specifically, the journal features such research areas as genomics, proteomics, bioinformatics, epigenomics, and ribogenomics.

The article types include original research articles presenting novel data and findings, papers describing innovative methods, application notes, protocols, and database updates, comprehensive reviews, essays, commentaries, opinion pieces, research highlights, news and views, among others.
