Asian Journal of Urology, produced by Elsevier B.V., is an international peer-reviewed journal published quarterly in English. It was jointly founded by the Shanghai Association for Science and Technology (SAST) and the Second Millitary Medical University (SMMU) and was launched in October 2014.

The journal aims to promote collaboration and understanding between clinicians and basic scientists, support high-level laboratory and clinical research on urological diseases and conditions, share new discoveries, technologies, theories, and experiences on urological disease, and promote urological well-being among Asians.

The journal spans the entire spectrum of urology, both basically and clinically, covering urological oncology, endourology, calculi, female urology, erectile dysfunction, pediatrics, infertility, renal transplantation, reconstructive surgery and neurourology. Its articles include original articles, reviews and mini-reviews, letters, Asian focus, research highlights, editorials, rapid communications, perspectives, clinical experience, clinical images, commentaries, case reports, urological data, and more.

Through the publication of epidemiological, genetic and regional papers, as well as occupational, clinical and health policy studies from across Asia, the journal's feature column - Asian Focus - has drawn wide attention.

Asian Journal of Urology has been indexed and abstracted in PubMed/PMC, the ESCI, Scopus, EMBASE, DOAJ, ScienceDirect, the Primo Central Index and TDOne (TDNet), and is scheduled to be included in the MEDLINE database and Science Citation Index (SCI) database in the near future.
