High school students passionate about scientific research are invited to participate in the upcoming poster session at the second International Congress of Basic Sciences (ICBS) from July 17 to 19, 2024.

This three-day event will provide a platform for exceptional students to present their recent research works in mathematics, physics, computer science, chemistry, biology, and economic and financial modeling.

Important Dates and Submission Details

Registration and submission of posters are open from April 15 to May 31. Each high school can recommend up to five posters, with the submission details required to include information about the first authors and their research supervisors.

Submitted posters will undergo a review by international experts from June 1 to June 9, and the selected works will be announced between June 10 and June 16. The poster session will take place during the ICBS 2024 event, held from July 14 to 26.

Benefits and Recognition

Selected students will have the opportunity to experience the vibrant scientific environment of the ICBS, interact with international scientists, and showcase their achievements. As a token of recognition, they will be awarded an exceptional high school poster certificate personally signed by Shing-Tung Yau, the Chairman of the Congress, and will also be waived from registration fees.

"Additionally, selected students and their research supervisors will enjoy complimentary buffet lunches and dinners. Outstanding participants may also have the opportunity to join the 2024 Shing-Tung Yau High School Science Award Competition."
